L’Okapi – Workshop

Charlotte is a Dutch-Rwandan singer-songwriter and chansonnière who grew up in Limburg, surrounded by art and music. She has performed on stages ranging from North Sea Jazz to the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, but her starting point remains simple: the voice is the most honest instrument we carry with us.

In this workshop, you will explore your own story through singing and spoken word. We begin with grounding exercises to help you arrive in your body and connect with your breath, then play with sound to warm up the voice. You will do a short writing exercise based on your own experience, and we conclude by singing together.

The goal is not to sound beautiful or polished, but to sound truthful. No experience is required, just an open heart and a willingness to show up exactly as you are.
