The Pleasure, Art & Science Festival (PAS) is Maastricht University's annual opening festival — science, music and theatre for students, city residents and visitors.

  • Who is the PAS Festival for?

    Everyone is welcome at PAS Festival. There is something for everybody.

  • Is PAS Festival free?

    Yes! PAS is completely free. You also do not need to register.

  • In what language are the talks and activities?

    Some talks are delivered in both Dutch and English. Others are in Dutch only or English only. Often, language is not an issue, as is the case with music, dance, much of the theatre and special events. The children’s programme is in Dutch.

  • Can I take my children to PAS Festival?

    Yes. On Saturday afternoon, 4 September, there will be a special children’s programme from 14:00 to 17:15. The venue is: Faculty of Law (FdR), Bouillonstraat 3. Admission is free.

  • Are there special themes this edition?

    This edition focuses on the university’s 50th anniversary (UM50), features the Health Fest: PASsion for Health, where we look at what you can do to improve your health and lifestyle, and includes a children’s programme on Saturday afternoon.

  • Who organises PAS Festival?

    The PAS Festival is organised by Studium Generale of Maastricht University.
