Brothers

Brothers focuses on the theme of ‘brotherhood’. A journey through entanglement, competition and struggle, but also intimacy, connection and collaboration. 

The piece is embodied by the movement concept of threading, which originates from breakdance. With a thread, you create physical openings by connecting multiple body parts together and pass through them with other body parts. In Brothers, Justin & Sem string limbs together in all sorts of different ways, creating flowy but sometimes also struggling, movement sequences that take you into a hypnotic trance.
